Traineeship for unemployed people:
In Denmark there are two types of periodically limited traineeship schemes addressed to unemployed: in-company and wage subsidies.
- In-company traineeships are used to clarify employment goals for the individual, but are also used for persons who have difficulties getting employment on normal wage and working terms. The schemes are offered with a duration of 4 to 13 weeks;
- Wage subsidy provides an opportunity for a long term unemployed person to work in an ordinary workplace for a limited time period (3- 6 months).The main purpose is to train or retrain the professional, social or language skills of the unemployed.
