Where to stay

Accommodation availability and affordability is an issue in Denmark. Rents and mortgage costs are especially high in Copenhagen.
The Internet is the main source and the most useful method for searching for an apartment in Denmark. It also provides the advantage of allowing you to begin your search for housing before you arrive in the country.
There are numerous websites and portals, often structured so that you can search for housing according to different criteria, for example rental period, location, size, price.

A good option for foreign workers bringing along their families is the social and not-for-profit housing in Denmark. This is open to all people regardless of their level of income. For this type of housing, rents are already fixed and housing units are allocated through waiting lists.
