Language Learning
The Danish language has more than 5 million speakers worldwide and belongs to the East Scandinavian branch of North Germanic languages. Although most Danes speak excellent English, this should not be assumed. Learning Danish will help you understand Danish culture better.
The Danish language courses are offered by a network of private and public language centres. It is possible to choose between day or evening courses, which are concluded with a state-approved test in line with the Common European Framework for Languages.
If you are 18 and above, live in Denmark and have a CPR number, you are eligible for Danish courses offered by your local municipality.
