Traineeships
In line with the Council Recommendation on a Quality Framework for Traineeships, traineeships in Malta do not last longer than 12 weeks. In addition, traineeships are also awarded two types of certificates. One certificate for the off-job training (theoretical component) and another certificate for their participation in on-the job training (practical component).
Traineeships in Malta are based on a written agreement between the employer, the trainee and a representative of Jobsplus, Malta’s public employment service. This agreement shall be registered with Jobsplus.
