Job market

Around three tenths of the Norwegian workforce is employed in the public sector, in areas such as health and education. There is particular demand for skills in nursing, medicine, tourism, engineering, building and construction, and IT and communications.
Norway is famous as an oil and gas producer, and there are many jobs available in this sector for qualified and experienced individuals.

There are also positions in finance, tech, startups and more.  As for seasonal work: agriculture, forestry and fishing would normally have a high number of jobs at certain times of the year.

Although English is widely spoken as a second language, fluent Norwegian will make a big difference to your job and career prospects.
