University
The education system of the Republic of Slovenia is organized as a public service rendered by public and private institutions that provide officially recognized or accredited programmes and is divided into several levels of education.
Slovenia’s higher education system has a twin-track structure:
- professionally oriented (vocational) higher education, provided by higher vocational colleges for two years at the sub-degree level;
- academic higher education, offered by public or private universities and single higher education institutions.
In Slovenia there are several universities offering study programmes in different areas. The main are located Ljubljana, Maribor, Primorska and Nova Gorica.

The Erasmus Student Network (ESN) Slovenia is an international non-profit student association whose main objective is to provide activities and services for international students. The portal is useful to get in touch with other foreign and local students.
