Job market
According to the latest labour force survey, employment hit its highest level in the past decade in 2024, while unemployment held steady at around 3.7%, underscoring persistently high labour demand.
Key areas of demand include construction, manufacturing, hospitality, and health and social care. Part of this demand is being met by a growing share of foreign workers. By mid-2024, 15.8% of employed residents in Slovenia were non-Slovenian, with many concentrated in manufacturing, transport & storage, and construction.
