Exploring the country
Slovenia is the third most forest-covered country in Europe and it’s very famous for green, sustainable and responsible tourism. From the iconic Alpine lake to the queen among the vines, this country offers a variety of attractions that are worth visiting.
Many of Slovenian treasures are inscribed on the UNESCO World Heritage List and the country is part of the Cultural Routes of the Council of Europe. The routes are an invitation to travel and to discover the rich and diverse heritage of Europe by bringing people and places together in networks of shared history and heritage. They cover a range of different themes, from architecture and landscape to religious influences, from gastronomy and intangible heritage to the major figures of European art, music and literature.
